As we age, our skin loses fat, collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, which offer facial volume and support and a youthful appearance. The bony structure and muscles also lose volume, causing us look tired and sunken. Over time, we start to see formation of lines, wrinkles and folds, as well as a loss of facial volume, showing the visible signs of ageing, this can be treated with dermal fillers.
Unlike wrinkles which require muscle relaxants to soften them, facial volume and folds require a filler to help re-volumise and hydrate the area.
KEY BENEFITS OF DERMAL FILLERS
- Enhances facial volume and restores facial contours that have weakened with time
- Softens lines and wrinkles
- Correct asymmetries and restore facial balance
- Restore fullness to lips
- Effects last up to 18 months (depending on product used)
HOW DERMAL FILLERS WORK
Your initial treatment will take approximately 30-45 minutes and includes a consultation with our experienced Cosmetic Injection Doctors who will assess your needs, address any questions you may have and devise a treatment plan.
Injected just under the skin’s surface, Dermal Fillers help to fill out lines and wrinkles and to restore facial contours and asymmetries. Fillers resemble your body’s own hyaluronic acid and are exceptionally hydrating for the skin.
To ensure your comfort, a topical analgesic (numbing cream) will be applied to help numb the area. The procedure is generally well tolerated however there may be some minor swelling and mild bruising for a few days post treatment. Clients often elect to have Omnilux Medical treatments pre and post Dermal Fillers to reduce any swelling and bruising.
Fillers are non-permanent and are an effective anti-ageing treatment, especially when offered in combination with muscle relaxant injections and treatments to improve the health of your skin, such as laser, peels, micro-needling and microdermabrasion.
As our faces are unique, the amount of product and areas where cosmetic injections would provide the greatest benefit are individual. Our Doctors will tailor a treatment plan to meet your needs and budget.
